Our Carpet One Story

In November 1962 William Deiley started B&B Floor Covering. He had learned the trade from his father and began operating out of his garage. Bill was married with three young boys, Bob, Jeff and Mike when he started this company. It is from Bills extremly hard work ethic, long days and determination he was able to turn B&B into what it is today! In 1970 they rented their first store at 500 W. Main St., Anoka, MN and had 5 employees, which included his wife, Kathy, their interior designer. In 1972 they moved to their second location at 530 W Main St., and their company began to grow. As they grew they bought and moved into 417 W. Main St., Anoka. In 1983 they bought and moved into 2110 2nd Ave., Anoka, MN, where they remained for 17 years. In 1995 William's boys took over the family business. In 1997 the boys made the decision to join Carpet One to become todays B&B Carpet One! In 1998 they opened up their second location in Chanhassen. In 2000 they moved to their current location at 6937 HWY 10 NW, Ramsey, MN. To date B&B Carpet One has 15 employees, over 20 installers and relationships with over 30 builders and remodelers.
